VIZAĜO Playing Cards (blue)

The artwork for VIZAĜO playing cards draws inspiration from wood-cut techniques and features hand-drawn faces shaped by bold lines and blocks of colour, where the original pen & ink drawings are preserved in the completed design. The arwork has in part evoved from my range of colourful ceramic teapots with painted faces, which I made while working in clay.

Each suit has a distinct colour palette, which also incorporates accent colours that connects the four suits and brings the deck together as a whole.

VIZAĜO [Vi-za-joh] – means Face in Esperanto, a language inspired by a desire to connect and bring people together.

Following the successful campaign on Kickstarter in 2017, VIZAĜO was printed in limited edition (2400 decks) by Legends Playing Card Co..
