Happy New Year to You :)
While changing from one year to another is just a date, there is a sense of excitement about starting a new calendar year. A time to make new plans and re-evaluate the things we no longer want in our lives (be that work, habits or emotions). I’m not really one for making resolutions, though I do like to embrace the feeling of possibilities, and the desire to find time for the many inspiring ideas and plans :)
Here’s to a happy and most creative 2016!
Ink Drawings & and a Water themed Exhibition
In December, I was part of a group exhibition at the Studio Gallery. We’re a little group of five artists, who have been exhibiting together for almost 8 years now. The works in this exhibition connect around the theme Water – explored in print-making, textiles, drawing and painting. Despite being the middle of the Christmas rush, the show was very well received; we had heart-warming feedback, many visitors and plenty of red dots – all round, it was a really nice way to end the year. The latest posts on my art blog include some photos of my drawings (inspired by the ocean, waves and ships) and more about the exhibition:

Nine Lives – 2015 PCF Deck Design Winner
In September, Nine Lives Playing Cards (poker size) was elected the winner of the 2nd Annual PCF Deck Design Competition … and in the very near future, this little deck will be printed by none other than the Expert Playing Card Company. I am very much looking forward to seeing the cards in real life – and to make this deck available to you, along with some exciting special offers.
Thank you for visiting and take care
Annette :)
Thank you, Annette, for a lovely post. I agree with about the change from one year to another, but let us hope that this year, 2016, will be truly wonderful for everyone.
Thank you :) Nice to see you back in this exciting new year :)
